J.Crew is definitely my default store for, well, everything. It’s really too bad that I often forget about Madewell, its less-preppy cousin. As my J.Crew card works there too, I really need to start investing in more Madewell pieces. Their sale is currently an extra 30% off! Here are some of my picks:
The green cap-sleeve dress is super cute on its own, but I also love the way they styled it with the striped long-sleeve tee underneath and the mix of patterns with the leopard flats. I need to recreate this whole look!
These faux-leather paneled ponte leggings are the exact mixed material combination I have been searching for! Perfect with flats or tucked into boots.
The stitch-stripe cardigan looks cute, cozy, and casual. Perfect for the weekend with leggings or boyfriend jeans!
The J.Crew elbow patch sweater sold out incredibly quickly but it seems that no one noticed this Madewell replica. Four colors and all sizes! Also in stripes for those of us who have already bought too many solid sweaters this season.
Who doesn’t need a shirtdress?
SWEATSHIRT DRESS. I may never wear anything else to work again.
I’ve been looking at this necklace for months. I love mixed metals and chevrons. It’s time to actually buy!
Half aviator, half classic - these tortoiseshell sunglasses are a year-round staple.
The Eaton Clutch can honestly match almost everything with its triad of neutrals. Brunch or bar hopping, I’d take it anywhere!
There are so many more items I love, but I need to go edit my shopping cart down from four digits …
… are perfection. As much as I hate winter, they are making me want to curl up with hot cocoa and a blanket while a blizzard rages on outside. Just not a blizzard that leaves snow up to my waist in the middle of our street for four days like last year. I ate food from the gas station. Time were tough.
I don’t even like turtlenecks (or crewnecks) - they make me feel like I’m being choked. But this one looks like I could live in it forever.
A cable sweater. Called snow. With pockets. Also love the lime green it comes in, my hair is neon enough.
Both color combos are happening. Not even the first time I own the same items in different colors. When it works, it works!
Florals shouldn’t be limited to the warmer months.
This dress is simple but special, classic but modern, and can be dressed up or down. And black and gold = Theta colors!
Cashmere. Waffle. Leggings.
I’ve been buying all solid sweaters. Obviously a great staple, but wearing them with plain jeans and leggings gets old. These festive Minnies are beautiful!
Let’s be real. Not only do white jeans accentuate my least favorite body part, but I can’t see these wearing well. The beading between the legs (so sorry, my legs touch) and on the back will probably not hold up for long. But I am still in love with this decorated version of the Toothpick Jean.
The facts that this fun plaid scarf is already backordered in all colors speaks volumes. You can’t go wrong!
I’ve never had an urge to buy the Etta pump before (stocky heels and round toes aren’t my thing) but I mean honestly I am oddly obsessed with both of these. Blame 12 years of Catholic school for my continued plaid obsession.
Saving the best for last …
I question the sanity of anyone not at least a little bit in love with this Collection Jeweled-Collar Topcoat. Camel, colorblocking, and crystals. New York City is a sea of black in the winter - I wish I had a spare $1350 to stand out!
